I love dancing, but singing is not for me. But Chris Pirillo does it even if he admits that he can not sing. Of course it is marketing:

So Chris is more brave than me.
Joking, I tell my children, the only thing I can not do is singing and bragging :-)
2. Sing with freedom.

With video sharing sites like
people have become famous like.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bZkp7q19f0 (1 916 730 971 hits while this post is written).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jofNR_WkoCE (371 721 193 hits while this post is written).
You may think that these are the only video sharing sites. You are completely wrong. For example, in China there are a lot of video sharing sites:
Top 15 most popular Chinese video websites
Top 9 Chinese Video Sites
A lot of content is also taken from the web and mapped to an app that can be downloaded to your tablet or smartphone. One example is the Chinese Karaoke app Changbra.
3. Online Karaoke resources.
YouTube has its own karaoke channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheKARAOKEChannel

4. There is a site and app for everything.
If you play chess like me, you should know about http://magnuscarlsen.com/
Of course, he has his own app:Sven Magnus Øen Carlsen a Norwegian chess grandmaster, reigning World Chess Champion and the No. 1 ranked player in the world. His peak rating is 2872, the highest in history.
You can download it from his web site. He admits that he had some problems beating "himself" when he was 12 years old.I am excited to announce the launch of PlayMagnus. A free app that includes a chess engine tuned to play like me at different ages, training videos and the chance to play me live. I really care about helping the chess community bring our game to more people around the world. PlayMagnus is my first step in helping us achieve that goal. Thank you for all your support!

5. Your online teacher.
My son is a lawyer. While he studied in Bergen, Norway, a friend of him took a PHD in physics. My son told me that
That does not come as a surprise to me. I am an economist with a strong mathematical background. I have seen how online pedagogical videos has increased nearly exponentially in numbers the last years.Informally he took his PHD studying videos on YouTube.

You may think that the videos are only available in English. That is far from correct. My native language is Norwegian and there are many training videos in that language.

6. Do you need a teacher?
Yes / or no. Some will not.
What about the quality of online training / education videos? There is no quality assurance on most video sharing sites.
So if you are studying rocket science, be sure that you don't crash out of orbit. Your professor may help you. There may be an important difference between an online video published by a teacher (professor) or some of his pupils (students).
